Personally i think that its better this way, let’s say that there’s a metal gig and a metal core band is playing in it i probably won’t consider going because I’m not a metal core fan (even though i respect it).

Not all metal genres go along, like you can have a gig with a death metal band and a heavy metal band playing in it but i find it weird to have a gig with a band playing core or punk and the other playing thrash…
