• Patrick Saad’s Top Release of February 2012

  • Coldworker – The Doomsayer’s Call

RecommendedMonochrome Existence and Flesh World.

This month is packing with Extreme Metal releases and Coldworker’s “The Doomsayer’s Call” is my favorite under this genre. This is Death Metal that recalls Vader’s aggressiveness without going to the “Brutal” side of the spectrum. Expect constant Thrash / Death Metal riffing and blasting beats!

For fans of: Vader.

  • Asphyx – Deathhammer

RecommendedWe Doom You To Death.

While Death Metal has nowadays branched into many styles, Dutch band Asphyx decide to bring us another great record after their reformation in 2007 by sticking to old school raw Death Metal. Deathhammer is a mix of straight fast paced thrashers and slower doom thick songs with brilliant vocals from Martin van Drunen of Pestilence fame.

For fans of: Death/Doom Metal, Autopsy, Pestilence.
