The world of Female-fronted Metal bands is changing from its days of “Symphonic / Operatic” Metal to a more aggressive and anguished approach. While growling female singers are now common in the Metal community, screaming ones are rarer and more original. Capra’s main appeal is Crow Lotus’s vocal delivery and lyrical attack, targeting topics such as drug abuse and domestic violence. The band backs up its lyrical statements by playing benefit shows for charity, making their Hardcore music and messages more legit and less pretend-cool.
